Finding Legitimate Stay At Home Jobs
The
concept of working from home has gotten a bum rap as a result of
excessive scam ads targeting people in serious need of stay at home
jobs. This is unfortunate because many people give up before they find
the genuine stay at home jobs and legitimate business opportunities. The
best advice I can ever share before guiding a person to these
opportunities is to never pay to learn where the stay at home jobs
are. This information is free on many websites. You first must know
what to look for, how to use search terms effectively, and to recognize
misleading advertisements and content.
If It Looks Like A Duck and Quacks Like A Duck
Guess what? It's probably a duck!
When
you receive an email, come across a website, or click on ads which
promise you thousands of dollars for little to no work if you will just
pay $49.00 for a little kit, run!
These scams are so common and millions, yes millions fall victim to this type of scam far too often.
I
will say there are some websites which offer information about stay at
home jobs for a fee, but why pay a fee, there are many websites which
give you this information absolutely free and I am going to share some
of these websites with you.
In addition to listing these websites, I
will share some tricks and tips with you about making money online and
from home.
Know How To Search For Legitimate Work At Home
One
big tip for finding legitimate work from home is to not use the search
terms, "work at home" or "work from home." There is good reason for
this. You must understand that these keywords are highly competitive and
those with legitimate websites and scam websites are fighting to rank
using these keywords.
Some great keywords to use instead are:
- "hiring home workers"
- "home office required"
- "independent contractors needed"
- "telework"
- "telecommuters"
If
you know what type of work from home you would like to do, search under
those terms too. To give you an idea of the type of work at home that
is common, below is a list of common stay at home positions.
- Customer Service Representative, Customer Service Agents, or Customer Support
- Virtual Assistance
- Proofreading and Editing
- Research
- Mystery Shopping (Yes, this is real. You must know where to look and I will get in to that.)
- Transcription
- Translation
- Teaching and Tutoring
- Writing
This is only a small list of all the ways you can make money from home, but this will give you an idea of how to search.
Websites Which Provide Free Lists Of Stay At Home Jobs
The
following are websites I know for a fact offer free listings of stay at
home jobs.
You also must realize that most of these sites support
themselves through ads like Google Adsense.
Be careful not to click on
these ads, because this is where some of those scam ads are.
Pay
attention only to the content and remember to use good judgment.
- allstayathome.com
This site is packed with hundreds of stay at home jobs and
freelancer work. The ads don't interfere with the search and this has by
far the most work at home jobs I have seen.
This is another very helpful website for those seeking home jobs
and home business opportunities. In order to find these opportunities,
sign up for the forum. Lot of leads and help here.
- ratracerebellion.com
Rat Race Rebellion has been around for a while and also has some great work at home listings.
Some Final Tips About Finding Work From Home
Another
good way to find work from home is to search for "freelancer" work.
There are many freelancer communities that you can sign up with. Most
tend to offer free accounts. You must spend quality time on your profile
and be very professional, but working as a freelancer is an excellent
way to make money at home.
