practical and a lot quicker. There are many different ways you can go about building your site, and there’s nothing to say that you still can’t do it through coding your HTML, but you don’t necessarily have to hire a skilled web designer or pay out a vast amount of money to get a great quality site.

If the thought of creating a website from scratch scares the life out of you, then help is at hand.

Thanks to the brilliant online website building applications, it’s a great deal easier. So if you are in the market for creating your own website, whether it’s for your company, or for your work from home business reasons, then we can recommend a few options to help you get started.

#1 – Wordpress
Everyone these days loves the wordpress platform. It is probably one of the simplest to use. It provides users with a powerful and flexible platform with an easy learning curve and is in no way frightening to use. The end result however does give you outstanding professional results.

#2 - Joomla
This is somewhat more advanced as an option and is very similar in some aspects to that of Wordpress. It does however have a slightly steeper learning curve. Don’t let that put you off however, because it isn’t that complicated to use, but with this choice you would need slightly more time to be able to get to grips with the way it works.

#3- Weebly
If you are an absolute novice at website creation, then this is probably going to be the best one for you. The whole thing is web based and created specifically with beginners in mind. What’s also good is that it is free to start. In addition, you won’t have to worry about any hosting company as that is all taken care of in-house on their own servers. Even though it is very simple to use, you can be assured of some great quality website results.

#4 – Wix
This application for creating websites is an extremely clever tool, which can be used for many things as well as site building. There is not a great deal to choose from between this and Weebly because both have an extremely great step-by-step guide process to help you create a great site. This application has many great functions, but if you should get stuck, their FAQ’s are really good. Wix also has around forty eight million users so that many people can’t be wrong about one product. Just like Weebly, Wix is also hosted online so you don’t have to worry about that aspect of things.

#5 – GoDaddy
There are some really good features with GoDaddy. They have some 800 plus web templates from which you can choose as well as animations, multimedia and in excess of 20,000 images in their library.

It has a simple drag and drop feature within a 3-step process, which makes life a whole lot easier if you haven’t got a great deal of time. It has again been designed specifically with beginners in mind, so you don’t need any technical knowledge at all. Although this is not a free service but is on an affordable monthly plan, we feel it is definitely worth a mention for hassle free web-creation.

There are many other paid and free web creation services around, so before you dive into employing the services of an all-singing all-dancing web designer to create something for you, check out some of the ones we have mentioned above. You might be quite surprised at how good they are.
